The Next Generation Facial Treatments That Get Results

Facial Treatments That Boost Skin Health

Facial treatments used to be a luxury for the wealthy woman. They were once seen as a status symbol. A visit to a day spa was seen as a way to pamper one’s self in an almost frivolous manner.

That is not the case for the modern day facial treatment! As the spa, personal care and cosmecutical industries have grown over the past 3 decades, skin care has become more about skin health and less about pampering. This growth has leveraged economies of scale, which has brought prices for equipment and products down. Research and development has increased dramatically which has brought countless new products and devices to the market. All of this growth has given the modern facialist – now titled -The Esthetician – greater access to facial treatments that can dramatically improve the skin health of their clients.

The term facial treatment used to mean, application of products, a facial massage, steaming and deep cleaning pores, and of course the famous facial mask. The modern facial can still involve all of that, however, the ingredient quality and sophistication is unparalleled when compared to the products of the 80’s and 90’s. The modern facial may also include devices and machines that were either cost prohibitive for most treatment rooms or weren’t even on the market 30 or 40 years ago.

Top Facial Treatments That Boost Skin Health

#1 The Element Facial

The Element Facial is a Hydro-dermabrasion and Oxygen infusion facial in a single 30 minute treatment.

It is a perfect way to introduce your clients to hydrodermabrasion. Even your clients that have had other hydrodermabrasion type treatments have not had the special Element Facial. The Element is unique because it is so versatile and allows you to work on all skin types.

The Element is on a special introductory price through February 2021.

#2 The Sensitive Facial

Skin sensitivities are real. The more research that is done, the more we are able to understand how products impact the lipid barrier. Most clients with compromised skin suffer from a disruption to the barrier. The Sensitive Facial from Hale & Hush was designed by Kris Campbell after years of working for a product formulation company. She created Hale & Hush’s Sensitive Facial using products like her Famous Hush Hydrate Gel – this product is designed for use in the Sensitive Facial, but also as a homecare product.

You can learn more about the Sensitive Facial from Hale & Hush if you join their private Facebook Group, Hale & Hush Pros.

#3 Firming Vibrant-C Facial

This HydroPeptide facial was just introduced in 2020 and it includes a few next generation steps that are filled with antioxidants that we need to talk about.

First, it features a Vitamin C infused sheet mask that you activate seconds before application. The mask comes in a 2 part pouch that is combined at the time of application for maximum product effectiveness. Second, it includes the application of HydroPeptide’s Firma-Bright 20% Vitamin C Booster. We have no words, this is a potent C that has been getting rave reviews.

Barry received this facial as prep for Oscar Weekend in LA back in February of 2020.

#4 Organic, Wild-Crafted Facial

While organic is not a new concept, the sophistication of organic ingredients in these next generation facial treatments is not to be overlooked. KM Herbals from the Bay Area does a wild crafted, organic facial treatment with such ingredient sophistication, we always do a double take.

Hydrate even the most reactive skin with their Kava Kava Calming & Hydrating Serum. You can include this in one of their professional treatment protocols. Sign up for a Professional Account and you’ll have access to the full KM Herbals arsenal of products.

#5 Get The dmGlow

Obsessed doesn’t begin to capture our level of interest in this treatment!  It’s got everything we love. Acids, Botanicals, and Microdermabrasion, however, the one part of this facial treatment that takes it to a whole different level is facial cupping.

Dermamed Solutions begins this facial treatment with a facial cupping ritual using one their delicious massage oils.  This stimulates blood flow and the lymphatic system. This little holistic jolt to the skin, boosts the detoxification and oxygenation processes in the skin. Then there is a manual and chemical exfoliation followed by a botanical infusion. Boost the skin’s health – get the dmGlow

5 Facial Treatment Add-Ins That Make Any Facial Next Generation

LED Light Therapy

This is the perfect example of technology that has taken the industry by storm! The advances that we’ve seen in LED Light Therapy technology over the past 20 years is astounding.

Celluma LED Light Therapy’s innovations over the past few years are to be noted.  It was as if Celluma said, “What if we get rid of the panel and bring the device as close to the skin as we can get?”. This new way of thinking allowed Celluma to create a product was incredibly effective with an incredibly favorable price!

Medical Grade Hand Treatment

Add-in a hand treatment to your facial treatments. Make that hand treatment next generation with SilcSkin’s Hand & Body Treatment. SilcSkin made this hand cream next level by treating wrinkles like scars and using medical grade silicone!

If you’re trying to stand out, why would you use anything else – REALLY?

Use A Next Generation Delivery System Sheet Mask

Products need to penetrate in order to be effective! It’s all about the delivery system, we’re obsessed with Sesha’s.

SESHA SKIN THERAPY’s PET™ delivery technology employs this type of polymetric matrix in its approach to cosmeceutical skincare.  PET™ works by solubilizing the active ingredient within the polymeric matrices and temporarily modifying the permeability of the skin, thus enabling large molecules to pass between and through the skin cells of the stratum corneum, stratum lucidum, stratum granulosum and reaching the deeper layers of the skin (stratum spinosum, stratum basale) (see figure 1).

Want a next level add-in that offers some serious versatility – look at  Sesha Skin Therapy’s Rejuvenating Anit-Wrinkle Mask it is filled with hyaluronic acid to plump and we love that!  However, Sesha’s proprietary delivery system will make sure the Vitamins B, C, E, and botanical extracts go deep into the skin where they will be able to nourish and fight free radical damage.

Electrify Your Sheet Mask

Ionic Technology

If you want to give your product penetration a little boost, use MYSKINBUDDY over that sheet mask.  The negative ionic settings 2 – 6, will provide a negative ionic charge which will help improve the product penetration.

Microcurrent

The 15 minutes they client is resting with a mask is a perfect time to do a microcurrent add-in, do this for clients who are in a microcurrent series with you to help boost their results. Our Winter Hydration Skin Care Guide features the Myolift 600.
