Hope for the Teenage Acne Sufferer

Hope for the Teenage Acne Sufferer

Teenage acne used to be something that was hard to deal with – but not anymore!

Dear lucky teen with teenage acne,

Please allow me to introduce myself, share my teenage acne story, and tell you why you’re so lucky.

Ghada MYSKINBUDDY Teenage acne

My name is Ghada, and I understand what you’re going through. I was a pimply and blotchy-faced teenage acne sufferer, and it traumatized me both physically and mentally. I was insecure, lacked self-confidence and self-worth, and my pizza face brought zero boys to the yard!

As my teenage acne continued to get worse, and so did my depression. I became an emotional eater bingeing on junk food to cope, not realizing it also contributed to the problem. I had that KFC glow even JLO would envy.

I grew up in the skin barrier-destruction days when I stripped my precious oils with Oxy pads and St. Ives. I thought the more I tingled and flaked, the closer I was to heal my acne.

At the age of 23, I got a job at a skincare company where I learned everything about repairing my skin.

Finally, at the beautiful age of 40, I can confidently say that I have figured out how to “manage” my acne from the inside and out by consuming skin-loving foods and using gentle yet effective ingredients and tools. And yes, I still break out from time to time if I’m extra stressed and decide to enjoy some junk food.

You might be worrying that clearing your acne may take you as long as it took me, but I’m here to tell you it won’t.

3 Reasons You’re Lucky + How Your Skin Dreams Can Come True

Educational Resources. If only I had access to what you have today, I would have cleared my skin years sooner. Instead of scrolling for trending TikTok beauty products, try spending more time researching the science. Pubmed.gov is one of my go-to sites for the most recent published studies.

Credible Skin Professionals. When it comes to your skin, ain’t nobody got time for trial and error. Please don’t make the mistake of damaging your skin barrier like I did. Skincare professionals have invested thousands of dollars and hours learning skin, so you don’t have to. They are your shortcut to achieving a clearer and healthier complexion. With social media today, it has become so easy to find experts in your area. You can see their faces, videos, client transformations, and even honest client reviews.

Affordable High-Quality Skincare. I’ll take glowing skin over Gucci any day! Of course, I’ll be happy to have both, but my point is, start investing in your skin first. Ignore online discounts. Choose value over cost and think and act luxurious by getting it directly from a Spa near you. Not only will you be taking home effective and lab-tested products, but you’ll also get an expert skin coach to guide you.

If you’re still reading this, I appreciate you and am proud of you because it shows that you’re ready to make a change in your skin.

I’m going to end by saying this. My skin confidence gave me the self-confidence to tap into a healthier mindset and a more fit body, and today, I am the CEO of an international skincare brand. I thank the skincare community for helping me get here.

By the way, I’m still single with no boys in my yard.
