The BEST Father’s Day Gift?
Is it like the hardest thing in the world to figure out?
Why do I automatically think about tools as a gift for Father’s Day? I guess it’s from growing up on a farm in the 80’s. There were always commercials for Craftsman tools from Sears on the TV. That and my dad wasn’t really into anything. He didn’t play golf, he didn’t wear ties, he didn’t use a briefcase. He was a “work on the car, fix everything around the house, watch football, drink beer” kind of dad!
It wasn’t until I started working in the spa biz that I began to think of personal care items for Father’s Day. Then came the TV Show Queer Eye For The Straight Guy and suddenly, there were all these metrosexual guys who were into good grooming. Between straight guys grooming more and gay guys adopting more – the idea of giving personal care products for Father’s Day is more and more popular. More guys are open to it, AND there are way cooler things to give guys in 2018 than there were in the 1980’s!
I mean, just the advancements in the products that help a guy have a better shaving experience are amazing. No more scraping skin with a single blade razor and following it with an abrasive Old Spice aftershave. No! Now there’s pre-shave oil, luxury shave creams and post-shave balms and roll on’s that help soothe the skin and protect against razor bumps and burn.
Now the best Father’s Day gift can be a product that the Dad in your life will use every day to help his skin feel better. It may even be a revolutionary sunscreen that Dad can wear daily to protect against the sun! I mean even the most macho of Dad’s know that sun damage can cause skin cancer.
Jenni and I compiled a list of 5 products that we think will be perfect for Dad this Father’s Day!
