So Many Ways to Smile Brite
It’s no secret that I’m a huge coffee addict. I love it and drink a lot of it every day. It’s my only vice, so y’all can keep your comments to a minimum. Anyway, I had been feeling self conscious about the color of my teeth. I saw a video of myself and was like – “oh man, my teeth are so yellow!”…… as I was holding a Grande Americano From Starbucks. Oh shit! Time to do something about it!
As luck would have it – and – in a very ironic twist of fate – I found a teeth whitening system while filming a video. I was at a trade show and interviewed Super Smile about how they leverage Instagram. SHAMELSESS PLUG HERE I chatted with the Super Smile team and they asked me to try their 6 Minutes to a Whiter Smile kit. I was more than happy to give it a shot.
I read the directions – which required an am and pm brushing. I’m lazy and knew I’d only brush in the am. So I lowered my expectations of how white my teeth would get in a short time. I decided rather than give it 30 days, I’d try it for 2 months and see if I noticed a difference. I started on May 1st and decided that by July 4th – I’d decide if I liked what I saw. I figured 60 days was a good enough test.
Anyway back to my yellow teeth!
Every morning I would rinse with the Professional Whitening Pre-Rinse, which prepares your teeth for advanced whitening while aiding in the prevention of plaque and gum disease. It was obviously a peroxide rinse and would bubble at my gum line, I loved those bubbles, I knew it was ungunking all that gunk.
I’d then floss.
I brush with a Sonicare, which I love!!!! You’re supposed to put 2 products on your toothbrush.
1. The Professional Whitening Toothpaste. It’s 75% less abrasive than the limit set by the American Dental Association. It’s got the most amazingly yummy taste!!! I looked forward to it!
2. Professional Whitening Accelerator with carbamide peroxide to give it a whitening boost!
Once A Week I’d use the Professional Activating Rods to accelerate the whitening process.
I had to replenish the Pre-Rinse and Professional Activating Rods in the 2 month time period. One major point that I found is that I never experienced any tooth sensitivity that some other whitening toothpaste can cause. Overall, after the 60 days, I was really happy with the color of my teeth and don’t think that I’ll need to seek out another whitening solution. I will continue to use the product and see if there’s anymore marked improvement. I’ll keep you posted.
Has anyone tried another whitening system that they like? Shoot me an email if you have, I’d love to hear about it!
