Girl, Calm Down

How many times have you been, like sooooooo irritated with your partner?  It could have been for any number of reasons:

  1. They forgot to wash the dishes for the 100th time?
How hard is it to put your dishes in the dishwasher when you’re done?

  2. They put your favorite jeans in the dryer?
HELLO - jeans get air dried because we buy them tight enough to cut off circulation to our toes.

  3. They ask if you really needed another pair of shoes?
    Really……

They do something or say something that just hits you the wrong way on the wrong day. Your reaction? You spin around on one heel and shoot back, every single thought in your head with both barrels!!! You have a list!

And they just look at you and say the worst thing ever…

“Girl, Calm Down!”

Yeah, because that works! This only fuels you to prove your point! Them saying calm down, or hoping you calm down, will never work. They need to come at you with a strategy. They need to understand why you’re so inflamed and work to correct that situation.

April is Rosacea Awareness Month

You know - just like when treating Rosacea. LOL. We know that wasn’t the most effortless shift, but you must admit - it totally makes sense. Rosacea is a serious skin condition that needs to be treated with serious skincare products. It’s not to be taken lightly or just have random solutions thrown on the skin. It needs to be understood and treated properly.

The American Academy of Dermatology defines Rosacea as:

Rosacea (rose-AY-sha) is a common skin disease. It often begins with a tendency to blush or flush more easily than other people. The redness can slowly spread beyond the nose and cheeks to the forehead and chin. Even the ears, chest, and back can be red all the time.

Rosacea can cause more than redness. There are so many signs and symptoms that rosacea has four subtypes:

Erythematotelangiectatic rosacea: Redness, flushing, visible blood vessels.
Papulopustular rosacea: Redness, swelling, and acne-like breakouts.
Phymatous rosacea: Skin thickens and has a bumpy texture.
Ocular rosacea: Eyes red and irritated, eyelids can be swollen, and person may have what looks like a sty.

With time, people who have rosacea often see permanent redness in the center of their face.

There is No Cure

There is no cure for Rosacea. The only option to deal is get a good treatment plan. It’s vital to get an understanding of the skin condition so you can get the proper treatment.
