Oncology Training International Launches Melanoma Course

Oncology Training International Launches Melanoma Course

A person diagnosed with melanoma can experience feelings of defeat.  They just start to realize that their whole life is going to have to change.  Often family, friends, or colleagues consider the melanoma diagnosis as having ‘just a skin cancer’.  These survivors will tell you that this aggressive skin cancer is not the same as other skin cancers.

Treatment is aggressive and the whole disease process is time-consuming.

This workshop teaches salon/spa professionals to assess clinical features of moles, plus the number of moles, their sizes, and risk factors.  Any changes to these moles and other lesions are to be referred to healthcare professionals for treatment.  We look at various melanoma lesions and their clinical features and how to use the A, B, C, D, E, F chart on suspicious-looking lesions.  Some recent case histories will be shared, together with skin side effects from treatment for melanoma and how we as salon/spa professionals can help combat these side effects.

We also discuss ‘is there a melanoma personality’ as research indicates and we cover step by step questions on the mole measuring and counting intake form.

This training is a must for every salon/spa professional – irrespective of your specialty as melanoma can be found anywhere on the body – not just sun-exposed areas.

$49.99 as it will take approximately 2 hours
