THIS WEEK’S PART OF THE PACK…
I’ll admit that my friend Tommy tells this story much better than I do, but it’s funny regardless. One night a group of my friends and I were at dinner. I recall that I was in the middle of telling them about the new acid peels we began using at the spa where I worked, when my friend Tommy chimes in with this hysterical story.
Here’s an excerpt from Tommy’s story:
Allan: “I want to look a little younger, I think I’ll go get a chemical peel.”
Jimmy: “Oh dear, in your case, they’ll have to peel you back to the bone and start over.”
HOW ACIDS CAN IMPROVE SKIN
So rude and also a little severe. I mean, honestly, you don’t have to peel all the way back to the bone in order to get better skin! In fact, acids can improve skin in many different ways. They can diminish fine lines, help eliminate dark spots, help unclog pores, they can even help to firm and tighten the skin.
We found a few really wonderful products that will impact the skin in very different ways. Acids can be added to cleansers, to help buff away dead skin. They can be added to serums to help brighten the skin’s tone. There are even acids in individual pads to create a mini at home peel. Then, there is the holy grail of acids, the professional treatment that an esthetician uses in their treatment room. We found a quartet of acidic treats that will help firm, brighten, smooth, and erase imperfections.
