She loves Comfort Zone, Circadia and Vivier, but which ones and why?  Nicole Roby, breaks down her 5 go-to moisturizers! Nicole is based in Chicago, one of the harshest winter climates in the United States, she definitely needs a Winter Hydration Skin Care Guide because The Science of Hydrating Skin is something every esthetician should master. Let’s Talk Moisturizers

by Nicole Roby

Whoever told you that you don’t need to moisturize wants you to have bad skin!

Everyone needs a moisturizer and there’s a moisturizer for every skin type.

Young, there’s a moisturizer.

Acne, there’s a moisturizer.

My over 40 crew, well you already know the deal! One of the most important parts to our skincare routine to fight aging is a great moisturizer.

Nicole’s 5 Favorites from
Comfort Zone, Circadia + Vivier

#1 Comfort Zone

HYDRAMEMORY Cream Gel

This Comfort Zone cream gel combo that’s lightweight but power-packed with hyaluronic acid, watermelon fruit extract and so much more. This cream gel combo from Comfort Zone protects the skins barrier and brightens and hydrates all day long. I love this Comfort Zone moisturizer for my texture specific clients and south and southwest climates that still experience dryness in the hot temperatures.

#2 Circadia

Aquaporin
I mean first off the packaging is super cool. Packed in a mess free airless pump container it’s easy to use and travel with.

I recommend Aquaporin to my clients who desire a cream but it can’t be super heavy as they say. This is a protector moisturizer, prevents TEWL and instantly supercharges your moisture levels. It’s full of hyaluronic acid and sodium pca.

#3 Circadia

Post Peel Balm
So it smells like chocolate and cocoa butter and I love it! This is a skin saver, emergency 911 type of deal. Post Peel Balm is ideal for use after a skin treatment or can be used to heal up skin irritations. Ski trip, you need this, sunburn care, yup you need this too. The list goes on and on. It’s multi-use capabilities means I tell everyone to have it on hand. Oh, it’s not just for face either-use it post intimate wax, you’ll thank me later!

#4 Vivier

Lexxel
Lexxel is my go to for the sensitive/reactive type. I even love it for a few acne types. It’s typically my personal daytime moisturizer because I tend to get a little shiny throughout the day. It may be a cream on the thicker side but heavy and greasy it is not. It’s hypoallergenic, scent free and dye free. It’s also perfect for post-procedure healing. Packed with Vitamin E , Avocado and Allantoin dry skin doesn’t stand a chance

#5 Vivier

Platiné Peptide CR Cremé
Talk about luxe! This Cremé is for my ladies and gents who are ready for a little anti-aging boost with retinol, vitamin c and powerful peptides. A rich moisturizer meant for face, neck and décolleté, I love this one for a night time treatment to fight fine lines and wrinkles.
