The Nature Meets Science Acne Facial You Need In Your Spa

Finding an acne facial treatment that is really effective is hard! Many acne facial treatments only use the technology of science.  While other acne facial treatments focus on the power of nature to clear up acne.

The overall idea is that many clinical brands focus heavily on science while many natural and organic brands tend to focus on the power of plants, flowers, and herbs. Each approach is good, but, when they are combined they do great things for the skin.

This is why we were so intrigued with Dermaki Skincare when we met them in Las Vegas at the International, Esthetics, Cosmetics, and Spa Conference in June of 2021.  When we saw their acne facial before and after images they had at their booth that showcased their results, we had to know more!

We asked…

“How is Dermaki different from other acne lines?”

We try and stay as natural and organic as possible but in the professional world, we know that doesn’t always get the results that clients are looking to achieve. Our company motto is “Where Nature Meets Science”.  We stress this because we try to be as natural and organic, using therapeutic oils, such as Tamanu, Rose Hips, and Essential Oils, while blending in proven ingredients such as Vitamin A.  This gives us a different approach that is powerful enough to see dramatic results while being safe and sustainable.  We want Dermaki to be the last skincare anyone ever has to use to treat all 3 types of acne, Cystic, Pustular, and Hormonal.

Treating Cystic, Pustular, and Hormonal Acne
Treating Cystic Acne
Cystic Acne
Cystic Acne is a severe type of acne in which the pores in the skin become blocked, leading to infection and inflammation.

Cystic Acne is not confined to teenagers! Other factors are involved, including:

  • hormonal changes related to the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, birth control, the use of hormone therapy, and stress.
  • greasy cosmetics, cleansers, lotions, and clothing.
  • high levels of humidity and sweating.
  • genetics, as some people are naturally more susceptible.

We recommend starting on the Acne Kit and mixing in Soothe with Inflammation Powder.  After the inflammation goes down clients may need to start on microneedling with Dermaki-Plex or just using Dermaki-Plex and Soothing Serum to eliminate scarring.

Treating Pustular Acne

Pustular Acne
Pustular acnes are often considered to be moderate type of acne. Pustular acne is characterized by formation of small bumps on the face which are typically associated with redness and inflammation of the surrounding skin.  The Acne Kit is usually enough to treat this.  Some may need Inflammation Powder mixed with Soothe added in.

Treating Hormonal Acne

Hormonal Acne
Hormonal acne is exactly what it sounds like — acne tied to fluctuations in hormone levels.

Although it’s typically associated with hormone fluctuations during puberty, hormonal acne can affect adults of any age. It’s especially common in women. A number of factors may contribute to this, including menstruation and menopause.

During puberty, hormonal acne often appears in the T-zone. This includes your forehead, nose, and chin.

Hormonal adult acne typically forms on the lower part of your face. This includes the bottom of your cheeks and around your jawline.

For some people, hormonal acne takes the form of blackheads, whiteheads, and small pimples that come to a head, or cysts.

Cysts form deep under the skin and don’t come to a head on the surface.

Most clients go on the Acne Kit and use the Acne Spot Treatment all over their face to allow the Vitamin A to go in to break up the acne before it comes to a head.  Dermaki’s Acne Kit works from the inside out so usually this will eliminate even deep acne that hasn’t surfaced yet. The Inflammation Powder will also help treat the acne when clients have breakouts.

The Acne Kit is a great way to start your clients with all types of acne, whether your clients have cystic, pustular, or hormonal acne, this kit is designed to be a great place to start.

The Acne Kit is designed to bring down inflammation first. Our Acne Cleanser and Acne Treatment Bar use green tea, zinc oxide, hydrosols, and acne-fighting essential oils while giving the perfect amount of exfoliation.  Dermaki believes too much exfoliation will damage the skin and cause further damage.  We also formulate around amazing oils like Tamanu, Rose Hips, and Sea Buckthorn that will not only fight current acne they will start reducing your scarring, unclog your pores and start the anti-aging process that we all are looking for.  See below for types of acne and how to treat them.

Acne Spot Treatment contains a potent mix of vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate) and Tamanu Oil to tackle acne at its source. It’s strong enough to treat all types of blemishes and breakouts, yet gentle enough for those with sensitive skin, eczema, or psoriasis.

Acne Mist is a potent combination of active acne-fighting ingredients in a convenient spray formula. It’s ideal for preventing and healing breakouts and can also be used to help soothe eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. Pair with the Acne Spot Treatment and Acne Face and Body Bar to help keep blemishes and oil under control.
